shall do a post on the class blog.. had an awesome time at philidalphea and princeton over the 5 days break (if u dont count the workload thats left behind and the fact that finals are starting damn soon). Its really fun like going to other unis to see friends, and doing silly stuff.. heh. we went to the philly zoo! which was smaller than Singapore's, but nevertheless interesting... surpisingly... and NBA match.. 76ers versus Chicago Bulls. Bulls kenna owned lah.. so it was kinda boring match, but still pretty stim watching Iverson and his gang. Met up with a few random ppl over there as well... tried some chinese food from philly(like OMFG).. but missed the famous south street philly cheese steak. philly was a very historic place... first capital of America, and place where they drafted the Constitution, and where the Liberty Bell resides. Princeton was a nice place.. like perfect place actually. everything in nice neat order, no hint of chaos or trouble anywhere. the workload there seems to be double of cornell, so less of a regret getting rejected by princeton.. heh.. apparently they even have books in the gym so ppl jog and read at the same time. pictures say a thousand words, and saves me the effort of typing crap.. so here goes:

hohoho taking a break from mugging! (as if) anyways just wanted to say that our jc bio notes are really freakingly excessive. remember sexual repro? the part abt spermiogenesis.. acrosomal vesicle moves to top, centrioles moves to bottom, mitochondria concentrates yada yada...
We just learnt them in med today!! and the rj people didn't even learn it loh (this is in no way derogatory to rj peeps yah?)
can't wait for CAs to end! wanna go overseas next year people?? taiwan? bangkok?? anywhere!! just get out of here for a few days!

Yang's Flaws 1) Hb (haemoglobin) and RBC is the same thing => "sickle-shaped Hb"
2) remember the practical (1 of the first few pracs with her) when we were doing some expt regarding rate of enzyme reaction with concentration (i cant remb conc of enz or substr or sth else)? well she said something like "volume and concentration is the same wad" and we went on arguing tt its not :) hahahahahah... oops (this was in the clean and white lab, the new new 1)
3) more electrons are absorbed into sample of TEM for denser parts (hmm now didnt the notes say more electrons are DEFLECTED from the sample for denser parts???) (contributed by Josh, tt was like his 1 mark or .5 mark in his blk test or prelims)
4) the topic of evolution (during revision in J2 i think, she was going thru some answers): natural selection applies to the world, but she exerted something like "natural selection applies to the particular ecosystem/habitat", and she added sth like "gene flow is a cause of natural selection in the particular habitat"; i know it sounds abit confusing (cause shes quite confused herself then) and we were sorta arguing (some of you who can remb more details do enlighten us!)
5) she just loves to throw back qns to us for us to solve dont she? :P (what we call "arrow" in army); sometimes if u suay and u say the last qn for the period she will say, "y dont you find out (the previous qn) as well" (i think kelvin li kana this before); sometimes she just solves our questions along the way, somehow either she recalls or she deduces from her knowledge (though i think its the latter!)
6) her most ultimate stun: "you must open-minded a bit, then you can understand what i am saying" LOL!!! (this was during 1 of the J2 pracs
